Products on this site are subject to availability and we reserve the right to accept or decline any transactions until such time as payment is processed. Title to any products ordered will only pass to you on delivery. Every care has been taken to ensure that descriptions, colours and specifications are representative of the product but individual variations may occur which users of this site must be aware of and accept. Styles, trims, fabrics, colours and costumes in this range may vary subject to availability. Dress up by Design is a registered trademark.

Secure Site Certificate

This Web site is secured with a GoDaddy.com Web Server Certificate. Transactions on the site are protected with up to 256-bit Secure Sockets Layer encryption.

Payment Methods

Payments on our website are currently by credit card and debit card through Paypal (or by your Paypal account if you have one). Your checkout process is handled by PayPal, a secure company for sending money online. PayPal is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority in the UK as an electronic money institution. You do not have to have a PayPal account to pay through PayPal, although you may choose to set one up when you go through our checkout, if you wish. Chic Fancy Dress is a trading name of Chic Alfresco Limited and your payments will show this name on your payment advice.

How are my details kept secure?

PayPal gives the following assurance: 'The security of your information, transactions, and money is the core of our business and our top priority at PayPal. PayPal automatically encrypts your confidential information in transit from your computer to ours using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128 bits (the highest level commercially available). Before you even register or log in to our site, our server checks that you're using an approved browser - one that uses SSL 3.0 or higher. Once your information reaches us, it resides on a server that is heavily guarded both physically and electronically. Our servers sit behind an electronic firewall and are never directly connected to the Internet, so your private information stays private.' 

If you do not have a credit card or debit card account, we may be able to accept payment by cash, personal cheque or postal order by prior arrangement. However, we will have to wait until funds have been cleared before despatching your order.

Taxation

VAT is chargeable on only a few of the items, such as wings and certain accessory sets. VAT is charged on non-clothing items and is included in the price you pay at the current rate of 20%.
If ordering from outside the EU we will attach a customs label to your parcel and you will be responsible for the payment of any import tax and value added/sales tax in your country plus any post office handling charge.

Placing your order

As soon as you have placed an order through chicfancydress.co.uk, you should receive an automated email receipt acknowledging your order and a separate receipt for your payment. The company name for receiving payment into PayPal is our holding company, Chic Alfresco Limited which is our other business selling outdoor furniture. If you do not receive this then either your order has not gone through, you mistyped your email address when you registered or the email has gone into your spam folder. Our website is updated regularly to ensure stock availability is kept as up to date as possible. However, occasionally an item will go out of stock. If we are unable to fulfill your order we will either telephone or email you as soon as possible to allow you either to cancel the order, choose an alternative or receive a store credit.

Delivery Charges

All standard delivery items will be delivered FREE for UK customers.

Pricing

All recommended retail prices are based on the manufacturers' prices plus their relevant delivery costs. This is for price comparison purposes only so it is then clear what savings are available when purchasing from Chic Fancy Dress where the price you see is the price you pay with no additional shipping costs added (except for certain postcodes which attract an additional delivery charge or if express delivery is requested). Standard Despatch

We try our very best to ensure you get your Goods without delay, and we endeavour to send orders out within 2-3 working days. However, our delivery promise is that Goods will be despatched to reach UK mainland customers* within 7-10 working days from receipt of order, subject to availability. You will be advised if any of your ordered items are temporarily unavailable, which will prevent them being delivered within 28 working days.

Delivery to the Western Isles of Scotland, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Northern Ireland together with some other UK postal addresses are subject to supplementary delivery charges or longer delivery times. Jurisdiction

No contract will exist between you and Chic Fancy Dress for the sale by it to you of any product unless Chic Fancy Dress accepts your order by email confirming that it is despatching your product.

Any such contract will be deemed to have been concluded in the UK and interpreted, construed and enforced in all respects in accordance with the laws of England and you and Chic Fancy Dress irrevocably submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.

Conditions of use of this website

We reserve the right, and will not be held liable, if we withdraw any products from this website at anytime and/or remove or edit any materials or content on this website. We may refuse to process a transaction for any reason or refuse service to anyone at any time at our sole discretion. We will not be liable to you or any third party if we withdraw any product from this website even if that product has been sold; or for removing or editing any materials or content on the website; refusing to process a transaction or unwinding or suspending any transaction after processing has begun.

We will make every effort to deliver within the time stated but we will not be liable for any loss caused to you by late delivery. If the products are not delivered within the estimated delivery time which we quote, please contact us and we will try and ensure that you receive your order, as quickly as possible. In these circumstances you may cancel your order and we will refund the money you have paid.
